I enrolled in the ECE Program at Six Nations Polytechnic because I have always wanted to be a teacher. I love children and have encountered road blocks trying to go to a university. I also liked the prospect of smaller class sizes. I am glad that I have found something I am really good at. My marks have reflected this, as I am on the President's Honor Roll at Niagara College. I am very excited about what lies before me. I just have to leap forward and reap the rewards of my success.
Colin has been an asset throughout this ECE Program, as he is a student, and/or a professional in his field. Collin is on the Presidents Honor Roll at Niagara College. Six Nations Polytechnic is very proud of Collin, his heritage and culture. He is a benefit to our community.
I enrolled at Six Nations Polytechnic to continue my education, to be close to home and most importantly to be close to my children. They attend elementary school and daycare here in Ohsweken. My experience has been GREAT! The staff is very helpful in making sure my two years here go by with no problems. I would recommend the program to anyone!
I am a mother of six sons and am a Six Nation's firefighter. My hope is that my sons will one day follow in my footsteps. I am currently enrolled in the Paramedic Program at Six Nations Polytechnic. I have always been a strong believer in education and I hope to set an example for my boys. I believe you can never stop learning.
My name is Christina Hill, I am currently studying to become a nurse. The reason I want to further my education is to give my four sons a better and brighter future. I enrolled in the Practical Nursing Program through Mohawk College because I knew my classes would be at Six Nations Polytechnic. I live on Six Nations Reserve and the school is close to home, making travel easier and less costly. I like the atmosphere because there are not hundreds of students crowding the hallways. The time I save traveling, I spend with my children or studying. I think Six Nations Polytechnic is a great school and that is why this is the second program I have attended here.
Ske:ken: I am twenty years old and love to learn, volunteer and play lacrosse. I enrolled in the Native Diploma Access Program (Secondary School Program) because I like being around other Natives. I went to school off reserve and did not really like it. Six Nations Polytechnic is close to home and I feel like I am in a safe and comfortable environment.

I am twenty-six years old and have a six year old daughter. After I am done with the ECE Program, I would like to work with children with special needs.
I joined the Six Nation's Fire Department two years ago. Since then, I've seen people and families at the worst of times. I want to continue to help my community in times of crisis and completing the Paramedics program will help me do that. At the end of the day, I feel like I have done some good in my community.
I am a single parent of seven children. I enrolled at Six Nations Polytechnic to gain more knowledge with an Indigenous point of view. I also want my children to see me as their role model and know that education is important. I want them to always remember who they are and where they come from above anything. My goal is to open a Holistic Health Center offering natural therapies.
My name is Allyson White and I am 27 years old. I enrolled in the Native University Program to further my education. I will be attending Laurier University and am looking forward to getting my Bachelor of Arts. I believe education opens up new pathways to success and encourage everyone to stay in school.
