Program Description

This program will give you the skills you need to work in the ever-expanding ecotourism industry. You will obtain knowledge and skill-sets required to work in outdoor-based tourism organizations or to operate your own unique business. Develop leadership skills while engaging in a number of activities including hiking and snowshoeing. Fun and informative field trips will take you to ecology centres, outdoor adventure organizations and natural attractions in the area. Program highlights include camping skills, nature identification, earth science, native customs and traditions, search and rescue techniques and outdoor games. You can also obtain additional certification including a nationally-recognized GPS training course.

OSSD or equivalent, ENG4C or ENG4U
