Program Description

Offered in partnership with Conestoga, this program will provide the student with a combination of theory and hands-on training using state-of-the art equipment to prepare them to obtain employment and succeed as a production welder in a manufacturing environment. The focus of this vocational program will be welding skills development using the GMAW-SC and GMAWSP processes on different thicknesses of carbon steel in a variety of positions. In addition to GMAW weld practical skills, students will learn engineered drawings (including weld symbols), and GMAW weld theory. They will also prepare for and complete a CWB weld skills test in the flat position.

Several Brant/Brantford employers have expressed strong support for the program including Tigercat, Paris Spring, Donkers Millwrighting, CNX Welding and Fabricating and Reynolds Custom Machine.


$3,292.23 per student. Includes tuition, learning materials, welding kit, and 1 CWB Weld test.
