This program provides mature students the opportunity to obtain high school credits to complete the requirements for a high school diploma. These courses are tuition free for Six Nations Band Members!
All classes are 3 hours per week for 15 weeks - good attendance and home studey are pertinent to success in this program. Students can register right up to the second class. A high school transcript and a $50 book deposit must be submitted with the application. Courses run based on a minimum enrolment and may be subject to change.

English, Grade 11, College Preparation ENG3C-A (1 credit) - Course code: ENG3C-A
This course emphasizes the development of literacy, critical thinking and communication skills. You will study the content, form and style of informational texts and literary works from Canada and other countries; Write reports, correspondence and persuasive essays; and analyse media forms, audiences and media industry practices. An important focus will be on establishing appropriate voice and using business and technical language with precision and clarity. Prerequisite: Grade 10 English Applied (ENG2P)
Science, Grade 10, Applied SNC2P-A (1 Credit)
This course enables you to deepen your understanding of concepts in biology, chemistry, Earth and space science, and physics; to extend your practical skills in scientific investigations into everyday problems, and issues related to ecological sustainability, chemical reactions, weather systems, and motion. Prerequisite: Grade 9 Science, Applied (SNC 1P)
English, Grade 11, University Preparation ENG3U-A (1 Credit)
This course emphasizes the development of literacy, critical thinking and communication skills. You will analyse challenging texts from various periods; conduct research and analyse the information gathered; write persuasive and literary essays; and analyse the relationships among media forms, audiences, and media industry practices. An important focus will be on understanding the development of the English language. Prerequisite: Grade 10 English, Academic (ENG2D)
Principles of Mathematics, Grade 10, Academic MPM2D-A (1 credit)
In this course you will broaden your understanding of relations, extend your skills in multi-step problem solving, and continue to develop your abilities in abstract reasoning. You will pursue investigations of quadratic functions and their applications; solve and apply linear systems; solve multi-step problems in analytic geometry; investigate the trigonometry of right and acute triangles; and develop supporting algebraic skills. Prequisite; Grade 9 Mathematics, Academic (MPM 1D)
Individuals and Families in a Diverse Society, Grade 12, Open (1 credit) HHS4M-A
This course applies current theories and research from the disciplines of anthropology, psychology, and sociology to the study of individual development, family behaviour, intimate and parent-child relationships, and the ways in which families interact within the diverse Canadian society. You will learn the interperonal skills required in order to contribute to the well-being of families, and the investigative skills to conduct and evaluate research about individuals and families. Prerequisite: any university, university/college, or college preparation course in social sciences and humanities, English, or Canadian and world studies.
