Teaching Mohawk

Course Description

This Additional Qualification course provides relevant, meaningful and practical experience for AQ candidates in reading, writing, reflection, dialogue and expression in the Mohawk Indigenous language.

Candidates complete the AQ with an independent study collaboratively designed with the instructor that involves interview, translation or transcription and final preparation of narrative written in accepted Mohawk diacritic and orthographic forms.

The AQ course uses 100 hours for face-to-face Intensive Mode Delivery (IMD) and 25 hours for Partial Distance Mode independent study.
