COVID-19 Provincial Announcement - Six Nations Polytechnic (SNP) Campuses Remain Open


The Minister of Education, Stephen Lecce, announced today that Ontario schools will remain open during the provincial emergency break shutdown announced today by Premier Doug Ford. According to Minister Lecce, Schools will remain open — critical for students’ mental health & learning. The Chief Medical Officer of Health has said schools remain safe against third wave & VOCs, strong protocols have kept 98.7% of schools open and 74% without any cases. Along with this, was the announcement that additional protocols will be put in place for elementary and secondary schools.

SNP will provide an update on any new protocols as this information becomes available to us. We have also determined that we will not be scheduling any additional closures at this time. Our campus status is as follows:

Brantford Campus: SNP STEAM and college/trades programming running on-site based on scheduled times and activities. Staff access to the campus is by request for priority matters. SNP STEAM Academy will be closed April 12-16th for spring break.

Ohsweken Campus: Closed to the public with all programs running remotely. Staff access to the campus is by request for priority matters

students, teachers and staff are required to self-screen every day and follow public health guidelines. If any student, teacher, or staff is experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, they must stay home and are encouraged to follow the directions provided through the provincial school Covid-19 screening assessment tool.
