Rob Cockcroft is an immigrant settler originally from the UK, who currently has the privilege to live and work on the traditional territories and under the skies of the Mississauga and Haudenosaunee Nations, and within the lands protected by the Dish with One Spoon wampum agreement.  He is an associate professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada, where he is also the director of the W. J. McCallion Planetarium.  His current work focuses on Indigenous astronomy, science education, literacy, and communicating science to the general public.
