Dr. Richard Anderson, Tuscarora Nation, Eel Clan
Dr. Anderson began his tenure as President/CEO of Six Nations Polytechnic on January 1, 2026.
Rick is a respected leader in higher education with extensive experience in administrative roles across Ontario’s college sector. He has served as a Vice President at Niagara College and at St. Lawrence College and has most recently held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Six Nations Polytechnic. Dr. Anderson's work has focused on student success, mental health, and advancing Indigenous priorities within post-secondary education.
Dr. Anderson holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto, where his research examined the mission of Ontario Colleges and differentiation in higher education. He also earned a Master of Social Work with a Policy Analysis Specialization and two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Philosophy and Psychology from McMaster University.
