Speakers: Kerdo Deer and Dr. Susan Dudley

Kanentaké:ron (Kerdo Deer) is an Ecological Team Lead and land-based educator from the Mohawk Nation, Bear Clan. With a 15-year career in ecological restoration and six years in the Indigenous tourism sector, Kerdo merges professional environmental science with the traditional teachings he was raised with at Six Nations. From managing invasive species to leading land-based learning expeditions, he is dedicated to the stewardship of the land and the reclamation of Indigenous land-based practices.

Dr. Susan Dudley is a professor in Biology and the director of the Biology greenhouse biodiversity collection. She and her students work on plant communication, ecological restoration and bee community ecology.

This lecture will be about ecological systems and the interconnection within the environment.
