Reported Positive Case of COVID-19 at Six Nations Polytechnic, Brantford Campus

On December 10, 2021, an individual reported a confirmed Covid-19 positive case at Six Nations Polytechnic (SNP) Brantford Campus. This individual last accessed the campus on December 8, 2021. Understandably, for privacy reasons, we are not able to provide further details on this individual’s identity.

This reported case is the only active Covid-19 case at SNP. SNP is following the guidelines and direction of Public Health. The process to disinfect and sanitize the campus is taking place. There are no cancellations or closures at this time.

What this means for SNP staff and students: public health will notify any staff and students if they have been identified as a close contact with the positive case. Being in close contact means being within six feet of the infected individual for at least 15 minutes. Testing may be required and self-isolating at home for up to 14 days. Public health will notify individuals directly if this action is required.

Monitor for symptoms of COVID-19: staff and students should monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 COVID-19 Reference Document for Symptoms (gov.on.ca). If at any time COVID-19 symptoms develop, staff and students are encouraged to get tested and follow public health guidance until cleared to return to work.
