SNP STEAM Academy extends online learning 
Update January 5, 2022

In response to recent trends that show an alarming increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations, the Ontario government, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health, has implemented additional time-limited measures requiring students to move to online learning until at least January 17, 2022. In accordance with this announcement, the SNP STEAM Academy will be extending online learning.  The table below outlines our current status by area.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact SNP and continue to monitor our website and social media for updates.

Staff and students will work and learn virtually until at least January 17, 2022 

Trades and pre-apprenticeship programs 

Theory classes will remain virtual. Pre-scheduled shop classes will be in-person/on-site starting the week of January 10, 2022.  

College programs 

Delivered virtually for the month of January.  Pre-scheduled health services labs will be delivered on-site starting the week of January 10, 2022.  

Staff 

Any staff that can work from home should do so. Campus access will be available on a limited basis to; those with essential on-site functions, those with workspace/internet challenges, and instructors with on-site programming. 

University programs 

The Winter 2022 semester will continue to be delivered virtually as planned. Classes begin January 5, 2022.  

Lifelong Learning programs 

All programming will continue to be delivered virtually. Classes begin January 17, 202
