APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING
The first step in any apprenticeship is to get a job with an employer who is willing to sponsor you as a registered apprentice with the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development (MLTSD).
As an apprentice, you learn while you earn from experienced workers on the job. To progress in your trade, you can attend SNP to complete your in-school technical training taught by qualified trades instructors.
Six Nations Polytechnic University is an approved Training Delivery Agent (TDA) and delivers apprentice programs - Welder, General Machinist, and Cook.
To receive an Offer of Classroom Training for SNP apprenticeship programs, you must:
- Have an employer sponsor
- Be a registered apprentice*
- Set your training provider preference as Six Nations Polytechnic*
*These steps must be completed with your Employment Ontario Apprenticeship Office
