Six Nations Polytechnic (SNP) announces vaccination policy for fall return, off-site start for September 7-10, 2021

August 27, 2021 - We are excitedly preparing for a return to on-site learning this fall. The health and safety of our staff, students, and visitors continue to be a priority as we welcome you back to campus. To prepare for the additional measures required, alternative learning arrangements will be in place for the week of September 7-10 as follows:

September 7-10 - College, trades, university programs will learn remotely. SNP STEAM Academy students will pick up laptops and timetables

September 13 - in-person learning will begin for all programs including University, college, trades, and SNP STEAM Academy students

The current rise of cases in Ontario highlights the need to be cautious against the serious impacts of COVID-19 infections and outbreaks. We continue to work with local public health authorities to provide for a safe return to on-site learning. This fall, SNP will introduce a vaccination policy requiring all staff, students, visitors, and contractors to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This policy will provide an exemption process for those that are not vaccinated on the basis of religion/creed or for medical reasons. Under this policy, those that are not vaccinated will be required to follow additional preventative measures to access our campus facilities.

Effective September 13 anyone accessing the campus must have at least one dose of a Health Canada and/or World Health Organization approved COVID-19 vaccine with October 30, 2021, being the deadline to be fully vaccinated. More information and details on this will be provided the week of August 30, 2021. This allows time for individuals to access a vaccine before September 13, 2021, start date. We thank everyone for their patience as we continue to navigate a quickly evolving situation.
