Update August 2020

Message from Rebecca Jamieson, President/CEO:

This is a fall semester unlike any other. SNP is coordinating the reopening of our campuses with provincial and local guidelines. The safety and well-being of SNP staff, learners and their families are a priority as we launch SNP’s fall access to learning. We know we must proceed carefully given the continued risk of illness from the COVID19 virus. To facilitate physical distancing while ensuring that quality learning experiences continue, SNP staff has been working for months to ensure the online virtual learning experience will offer innovative and dynamic learning opportunities as well as supports for learner success.

We understand that online learning cannot be the same as in-person learning so we are making available, ways for learners to connect with each other, their instructors and support staff including access to learning that is both synchronous and asynchronous. Virtual events and online communications will provide the means for our vibrant SNP learning community to continue. We know some learners have connectivity issues (both broadband and cellular) so we continue to explore solutions for both the short term and then longer-term community-integrated solutions. We are looking forward to “seeing” all our learners this fall.

In the meantime, please check in with the SNP website, student portal, My SNP and our social media for updates. You can expect emails from SNP to let you know of new developments so please be on the lookout for these. Finally, as we navigate these new pathways forward, let us be mindful of and be guided by our Hodinohsó:ni’ Values of Ga’nigǫ̱ hí:yo: / Ka’nikonhrí:io - the Good Mind. I know you will take responsible and kind steps to take care of yourself and others.
